I’m Kassie Aguilar, owner and pitmaster behind Rub N Smoke BBQ.

My story with BBQ started years before Rub N Smoke had its name. In 2014, I helped start Pitty’s BBQ. Life changed, that chapter ended and for a while I stepped away from BBQ altogether.

But in 2023 I found my way back to the smoke.

I started small … selling family meals from home. In 2024 I bought a BBQ trailer and took Rub N Smoke on the road to fairs, events and community gatherings. What started as me rebuilding something I loved turned into something bigger than I expected.

In 2025, I signed the lease for Rub N Smoke’s first brick-and-mortar location in Tipton.

Today, I’m doing BBQ my way.

Real oak wood. Real smoke. House-made recipes. No microwaves. No reheated BBQ.

From my sauces and rubs to my chili beans, macaroni salad and potato salad, I believe the little things matter. If my name is attached to it, I want it done right.

Rub N Smoke isn’t just where I cook. It’s something I built from the ground up, one plate, one customer and one comeback at a time.
